Asti is situated near the Tanaro river, between Langhe and the Po river, in the middle of Monferrato. It’s the smallest provincie of Piemonte and it’s offen rappresented by a grapes that remember his geografic form.

All the terrirory around Asti is full of caratteristic villages and castells whit romantic views on beautifull lands, valley, vineyard, meadows and woods.

But there are also greenhouses that show the active and ostinate spirit of the people that live in this area.

The provincies formed by 120 communes and half of this don’t have more that 500 inhabitants.

In the north there is Castelnuovo Don Bosco where the  founder of the Salesian Order was born. Villanova d’Asti is an important industrial area.

In the south  there are the big village of Moncalvo and Canelli that is considered an important international oenological pole and the queen of the Asti Spumante. In the Langa there are Bubbio, Monastero Bormida, and higher there are San Giorgio Scarampi and Roccaverano near to the mountains.

Administrative centre of this land rich of companys, big and small enterprises and really active workshops, Asti has beutifull porticos full of caffe and shops and places, one of those is dedicated to its most famous citizen Vittorio Alfieri.
